The pot calling the kettle black
Meaning: We use this saying ABOUT someone who has accused you of diong something wrong, when it is them who has done the same wrong thing. (I think you are calling the kettle black.)
It can also be used by someone TO YOU if you have accused someone of doing something you yourself have done.
Put simply: accusing someone of doing something that you have done yourself.

Here is an example situation
Let’s say that someone is calling you mean names at work or school, however, you have called that person a mean name before. You go to the theacher/boss and tell them that you are being called names but the teacher/boss know that you have also been name calling. The teacher/boss may say, “I think this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.”
